My path into financial planning was not a carefully mapped out one. As I entered my final semester of college in 2009, I knew I wanted to build a career in business, but I had not yet identified the right fit. That changed when I completed an internship with a financial services firm. It quickly became clear to me that financial planning offered the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, and I knew I had found my calling.

That internship led to a full-time position with First Investors, where I spent the next decade building my practice and serving clients. In 2019, First Investors was acquired by Cetera and was renamed to Cetera Investors. While the company name changed, much of what mattered remained the same, including the relationships, the team, and the commitment to helping clients pursue their financial goals. As an independent advisor within Cetera Investors, I have the ability to build my business - Fleming Financial Planning - in ways that best serve my clients. 

Today, I spend much of my time meeting with clients and preparing for those conversations. Before each meeting, I review their financial situation, evaluate opportunities and challenges, and consider any life changes that may have occurred since we last connected. This preparation allows our discussions to be focused, meaningful, and tailored to each client's needs.

Originally from Murrieta, California, I spent the early part of my career in San Diego, where many of my clients and my branch office remain today. A few years ago, my family and I relocated to Arrington, Tennessee, where we now call home.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active in my garage gym, spending time outdoors fishing, and helping my son, Wesley, develop his basketball skills. Having played basketball through college, sharing the game with him is especially rewarding. My wife, Alysha, and I also have a daughter, Winter, along with our two dogs, Zoey and Rome, who keep life entertaining
